January 22, 201115 yr I just knew there was no way he could go into the season with this hanging over his head. It would have been a huge distraction. Ozzie wins this battle. He figures to lose the war eventually as almost all managers get fired someday. Good job, Oz.

January 22, 201115 yr Smart move in the sense that now this won't be yet another distraction during the 2011 season, in addition to the several others that assuredly will pop up.
