June 25, 201114 yr good job by Bruney and great job by Peavy. Nice win today, he might need a DL trip, but at least it's not Danks arm or shoulder.
June 25, 201114 yr QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 06:11 PM) Peavy owns the Nats. He went complete game shutout on them last year. I was at that one. Jake is the man!
June 25, 201114 yr I said this in the gamethread, but since Peavy went 4 today, and held the velocity through all four innings, might his velocity be returning to him? I saw 92-94 with a couple 95 mph pitches today. If he can have the stuff he had today in his next start and for most of the season(save the few starts where any pitcher just doesn't have it), it would be a huge boost to the Sox to finally have that ace.
June 25, 201114 yr nice job peavy, bruney and santos why squeeze in the 8th but not in the 10th last night same guy same situation tougher pitcher today? good bounce back win
June 25, 201114 yr The Sox sure don't have problems bouncing back from troubling losses. Just like that, nice 3-0 win. Pitching great. Glad to see Castro very excited after his big hit.
June 25, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 04:12 PM) Some redemption for bruney for last night too Yup, I'll eat some crow on that one. Last night I wanted him out-righted to Charlotte.

I don't remember seeing or hearing anything about his velocity being vacant.
June 26, 201114 yr Great win! They really needed it after failing to get guys in so much in the loss last night.
June 26, 201114 yr I was in attendance, and even though I'm hard on the guy, what a job by Peavy. Wow. BTW, it's not that fans boo Dunn anymore, it's that after the boo'ing, the fans talk to each other and just blast him. He needs more off days, especially vs LHP's.

Didn't he get a standing O after coming out for a pinch runner? More bad news for the Twins: Young getting carted off the field.
