John Kruk believes the player to watch in the 2nd half is Adam Dunn. He thinks he's going to hit 20 HR's and drive in 60 these last 2.5 months. LOL

Just watched Baseball Tonight's preview of the AL in the 2nd half, and Doug Glanville said the White Sox are the team to watch, and that Adam Dunn will break out of this and turn his season around.

What bugs me is this is a HUGE mismatch on paper and Detroit likely will, as expected, beat us 7-0 or 7-1 if we are lucky.

His bat speed is very slow and he rarely puts the ball in play.

Lighter bat and change the funky bat bending behind his back.

No way he will do either, so I predict no change in Dunn the second half.

Please, please Ozzie bat him seventh (I'd prefer eighth but I realize no way in hell that would happen).

Over/under on number of hits off of Verlander has been set to 5.

Verlander hasn't given up more than 2 earned runs since May. So I'm feeling pretty good about this game.

The Sox certainly have been the ones to right the Twins' ship. Although they have won five in a row I think vs. KC as well. Them sweeping that 4 gamer in KC was big. It's hard to believe a team as far back as the Twins were, have a great shot at winning it if they can beat Detroit head to head.
