Mark Gonzales tweets AFL names

Josh Phegley, Brandon Short, Tyler Saladino and Terry Doyle.

Other than Saladino being a possibility I pretty much whiffed on who they would send, but as Kevin Goldstein mentioned, roster turnover is common from now to the season.

What's up with the AFL 2 or whatever it's called with the younger guys? I know it was in trial the past couple years.

Kinda disappointed we're not sending Gilmore and/or Martinez.

Not sure how old this is, but Brandon Kloess, Nevin Griffith and Jacob Petricka filled in the remaining pitcher slots for the Sox.

Kloess is 26, but had a great year. Maybe he's a late bloomer? We'll have some velo numbers on him at least. Griffith is probably a lost cause, but maybe he can be converted to the bullpen in Arizona (wishful thinking). Petricka is a minor surprise because the AFL is a bit of a jump for him.

There's a bit of intrigue with most everyone there (except Phegley to me), but Saladino is the only exciting inclusion.

They went to the high level team or the B team? I know Nev is coming off of the major surgery, but next year has to be his make or break season. Either he starts to realize some of that potential, or he will find himself looking for work.
