Other than Saladino being a possibility I pretty much whiffed on who they would send, but as Kevin Goldstein mentioned, roster turnover is common from now to the season.

I would have been 100% wrong too. On the bright side, that has to mean Reed is on his way here for sure.

What's up with the AFL 2 or whatever it's called with the younger guys? I know it was in trial the past couple years.

Kinda disappointed we're not sending Gilmore and/or Martinez.

John Doyle said Terry was told a while ago.

here you go. Sox down to add two more pitchers.

That would be 3 more pitchers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Axelrod added to that list.

He's already thrown 150 innings this year after being at only 105 and 110 the last 2 years.

Not sure how old this is, but Brandon Kloess, Nevin Griffith and Jacob Petricka filled in the remaining pitcher slots for the Sox.

Kloess is 26, but had a great year. Maybe he's a late bloomer? We'll have some velo numbers on him at least. Griffith is probably a lost cause, but maybe he can be converted to the bullpen in Arizona (wishful thinking). Petricka is a minor surprise because the AFL is a bit of a jump for him.

There's a bit of intrigue with most everyone there (except Phegley to me), but Saladino is the only exciting inclusion.

Anyone have a scouting report on him?

NDFA who has put up numbers somewhat similar to Remenowsky. But I know nothing about his stuff.

They went to the high level team or the B team? I know Nev is coming off of the major surgery, but next year has to be his make or break season. Either he starts to realize some of that potential, or he will find himself looking for work.

keithlaw keithlaw

White Sox rhp Ben Petricka 91-96 but no offspeed pitch. Threw just one slider that didn't break

keithlaw keithlaw

White Sox rhp Nevin Griffith 92-96 here in instructs. Needs a better second pitch

LOL Law can't even be bothered with Petricka's first name.

I'm glad I am not the only one who caught that. I didn't say something on purpose.

Is Ben related to Jacob?

Ben Petrick was a catcher in the Rockies system in the late '90s.

Only saw Kloess briefly, but I wasn't blown away by his stuff. Didn't get his velocity either, sorry guys.

John Doyle may be able to elaborate more about Kloess.

AFL games start today I believe.

Actually the games begin tomorrow.

Solar Sox lost opener 12-8 (gotta love the AFL). Brandon Short 0-5, 3 K. Brandon Kloess IP, UER, K, BB
