September 28, 201114 yr I was hoping that the Sox were going to replace him, with someone like Blackjack McDowell
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) Forget it. Hawk is here until he dies. He will die in the chair after b****ing about it's tea cup time again Stone Pony.
September 28, 201114 yr I have absolutely zero problems with this and am happy to tell anyone who does have a problem with it to leave me alone.
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) I have absolutely zero problems with this and am happy to tell anyone who does have a problem with it to leave me alone. +1
September 28, 201114 yr Don't love him but I could see why they'd want to keep him around. The average fan loves him.
September 28, 201114 yr I love Hawk as long as were winning. Towards the end of seasons like this one, he can get a little irritating with his whining and constant praisal for every crappy player who plays for the Twins, Indians, and Royals.

September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) Forget it. Hawk is here until he dies. Exactly. I'm pretty damn tired of him, though.
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:39 PM) Put it on the board. You can put it in the baaaankkk.... YES!
September 28, 201114 yr That's unfortunate. He's just awful. 4 more years of MLB Gameday Audio I suppose.
September 28, 201114 yr Not a big fan either. But considering that Ozzie and Walk are gone. He can have a lifetime contract for all I care.
September 28, 201114 yr To be honest, Hawk is more a face of the franchise than Ozzie ever was. As much as he can get on our nerves, I'm happy with him coming back. He was pretty good this year.
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:48 PM) To be honest, Hawk is more a face of the franchise than Ozzie ever was. As much as he can get on our nerves, I'm happy with him coming back. He was pretty good this year. As long as he doesn't insist on moving Steve Stone to the outfield...I'm thrilled with it.
September 28, 201114 yr Steve Stone, who has another three years left on his contract (IIRC), has had the rather unique opportunity of partnering with not one but two legendary Chicago broadcasters late in their respective broadcasting careers in Hawk, and then of course, the one and only, Harry Caray.
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) He will die in the chair after b****ing about it's tea cup time again Stone Pony. "I tell you what, Stone Pony..."
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 02:41 PM) I have absolutely zero problems with this and am happy to tell anyone who does have a problem with it to leave me alone. Agreed
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) I have absolutely zero problems with this and am happy to tell anyone who does have a problem with it to leave me alone. I agree completely. Hawk is awesome in his own way.
September 28, 201114 yr Not to mention, I doubt there has ever been a biggest White Sox fan on this planet.
September 28, 201114 yr I'm cool with this. Though I love how everyone is getting reupped for 4 year deals once Ozzie is gone.
September 28, 201114 yr Might be in the minority, but I enjoy the Hawk. People will miss him when he is no longer broadcasting.
September 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) If only they could do a 3 man booth with Wimpy. I'd be very happy. I'd love to have Wimpy back. Stone bores the s*** outta me...
