I actually have it in my Blockbuster queue and have the episodes from this current season recording on my dvr.

Anyone still watching Alcatraz or The River? I thought both this week were pretty meh, though I'll give props to The River for creating some genuinely tense moments.

 

re: Alcatraz, the whole land mine thing at the end made no sense. If he was able to get off the thing (probably impossible) with just sticking a knife on it, why not go get a bunch of heavy weights and put it on the knife, then run away? Hell, the defuser guy had enough time to take it apart, cut some wires, and hold it up in the air before he was blown to bits. You're telling me he could haven't done the same thing but run away in time to not be killed? Pretty dumb. And i'm still not sure how/why Big Boobs and Hurley show up at every crime scene in the city under the assumption it's a case for them.

Sometimes if you just set the individual episodes to record, the my receiver cancels records if the guide updates details on an episode. If you've got the whole series set to record it shouldn't matter, I don't think.

I'm watching the River. I really like the overall idea the show is just a bit too slow for me at times. Ill stick with it for a while though.

The worse part is, I saw mine had started recording and than I woke up in the morning and it wasn't there. I only know this case I was watching something else that was DVR'd but saw the record icon next to Alcatraz. Additionally, I didn't have anything that would have inhibited it. Oh well, DirectTV is usually pretty good. I guess I'll just have to watch it on Fox. All I know is the last episode (about the escaped guard) made it looks like this show could get more interesting. The question is how long does it take to get a good story and how long until the whole show isn't just focused on one prisoner per episode.

Unfortunately it's looking like it will be one case per episode. But at least in this last one the case actually gave more backstory with the mystery stuff.

Ditto. I got home around 9:30 from work and figured I would just watch it today.

 

While I was home yesterday afternoon, I couldn't stop watching Friend Zone on MTV. It was so bad but I loved watching these people profess their love for their opposite sex best friends and getting shot down. I went through that when I was young and want them to feel the pain I experienced.
