September 26, 201213 yr Bought Deadmau5's latest...some good stuff, especially The Veldt and Professional Griefers. Love Calvin Harris' remix of F&tM's Spectrum too...
September 26, 201213 yr Lupe's new CD is out. It's decent. Still not on par with The Cool. I'm not a big fan of him being so damn political now, but he's got some good songs on this CD. Of the 15 songs, I think there are only like 4 of them I don't like.
September 27, 201213 yr Everytime I listen to the first Them Crooked Vultures CD, it leaves me impatient for anything new from them. I wish JPJ would hurry up with his side project, before Grohl and Homme put anything else out, so we may finally get the opportunity to hear new TCV music.
September 27, 201213 yr QUOTE (Capn12 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 06:53 AM) Everytime I listen to the first Them Crooked Vultures CD, it leaves me impatient for anything new from them. I wish JPJ would hurry up with his side project, before Grohl and Homme put anything else out, so we may finally get the opportunity to hear new TCV music. Them at the Aragon was the best show I've ever seen, bar none.
September 29, 201213 yr Anyone in the Northwest Indiana area looking for something to do tonight, go hit up The 5th Amendment on Kennedy in Hammond... A pretty good show goin on, a 7 band Mostly metal show with a really BA hip hop band with guitars and drums The Free Ajents. Them and Standing on the Shoulders of giants are worth the 7 dollars of admission. Plus I'll be working the back door so you can come say whats up. Here are the 2 bands to see.
September 30, 201213 yr Just bought a Pandora One subscription, mainly so I can have the desktop subscription but I also like unlimited skipping. Did I dun goof? Anyone use this?
September 30, 201213 yr The Free AJents are somethin special, such a fresh sound, they're a hip hop band with drums and guitars. The show they played yesterday was filled with a bunch of metal bands and it seemed like all the metal heads liked them more than the metal bands. They covered iron maidens the wicker man last night and nearly blew the roof off Edited September 30, 201213 yr by 2nd_city_saint787
October 9, 201213 yr Macklemore's debut album comes out in a couple hours. I've already listened to it, and it's reeeeeeallllly solid. Possibly my favorite CD of the year, maybe just a notch under Cruel Summer. Here's a real cool song, White Walls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwWvIZ8sILw

October 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 10:45 PM) Seattle Do you like Macklemore, or just that he's from Seattle?
October 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) Do you like Macklemore, or just that he's from Seattle? I've only heard a couple of his tracks so far. He seems ok but I'll likely check out the album. I've moved out to Seattle a year ago so I like showing my new civic pride. BTW, if you want to check out some great experimental hip hop I'd highly recommend "Black Up" by Shabazz Palaces. Very dark, brooding production. I guarantee you haven't heard a hip hop album like this.
October 9, 201213 yr With !uno! Green Day has succeeded in creating an album that sounds like one endless song. Seriously, every song of theirs is the same now.
October 9, 201213 yr Id like to share my musical favorites with you guys, but I'd risk the bands losing their underground status. #hipsterproblems

October 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 03:41 PM) Id like to share my musical favorites with you guys, but I'd risk the bands losing their underground status. #hipsterproblems The important thing is to be over them, before anyone else hears of them.
October 10, 201213 yr With the new Bad Books album released I think my 2012 albums are complete -- unless a new artist I've never heard of drops an album, always a possibility... now to narrow it down to a Top 10...
October 17, 201213 yr Pretty awesome rumor going around that there's going to be an announcement concerning a 2013 concert at Wrigley Field made this Thursday, and all indications are that it's Pearl Jam.
October 17, 201213 yr Can't stop listening to the new Macklemore CD. Any rap/hip hop/pop fans should listen to it.
November 6, 201213 yr The first new Aerosmith album made up entirely of original material since 2001 arrived on my doorstep today. Based on the new material they've been playing live, I'm terrified to open it. **Edit** My gut feeling was right. Edited November 6, 201213 yr by Swingandalongonetoleft

Thift shop (Fun song about the awesome s*** you can get a thrift shop) - Same Love (Song about gay rights in this country) - My Oh My (Baseball song about the Mariners pennant run in the 90's) Edited November 6, 201213 yr by JoeCoolMan24
