I wonder how much $$ Danks2 is getting for 20.

 

Sneaky Jordan Danks probably knew the Sox were getting Youk eventually, so he took #20 in hopes of cashing in.

I've thought the same a few times.

Beckham is in his hottest streak of the year. No way he gets moved.

Our lineup is so beast on paper. Some guys just have to wake up.

I was thinking about where Youk would bat as well and I think it has to be 7 or 8.

 

Beckham has really started hitting the ball well and I don't think you move him from the 2 spot where he seems comfortable and productive. I'd also rather not drop Viciedo below 7 so Youkilis really should be batting 8 in front of Alexei

 

Gordon's got a .730 OPS in the 2-spot, which is perfectly acceptable IMO.

 

He's also hitting .299/.344/.460 in June.

It really is. Lexi & Beck have been hitting much much better lately.

 

If DeAza, Beck, & Lexi keep getting on base our days of being shutout are over haha.

Yes a sweep would be awfully nice with the Tribe going up against the Yanks the next 4 games, but I can live with 2 out of 3 considering the way we play against the Twins.

Peavy will certainly be pitching for his boy Akerfelds who passed away due to pancreatic cancer on Saturday, Go get em Jake!

Liriano isn't as outmatched as his overall season numbers indicate. He's been strong lately.

 

But I agree that 2 of 3 is a good result. With CLE and DET playing at NYY and TEX respectively, the Sox have a big chance here to gain some ground.

I miss the Metrodome and Hawk's constant blaming the stadium for the Sox playing poorly against the Twins.

I don't like our matchup tonight...if we can pull it out, I think it we have a good chance to sweep....but I fully expect to lose tonight.

He never really blamed it. He just knew as soon as the Sox stepped foot in the building, they would lose. And he was right 95 percent of the time.

I guess that's more accurate, but I remember one game when someone hit a line drive right at the right fielder when the Sox had a guy on third and Hawk said something like, "This stadium..."

 

Whatever the case, thank god they don't play there anymore.

No joke. When I was at the Dodgers/Sox game a few weeks back, I was about 8 rows away from Dunn when he was warming up. The dude is a GIANT. I mean, I knew he was big, but I had never been that close to him. MASSIVE!

It'll be good to have the big freaking lumberjack around during bench clearing brawls. I can see him reaching down on the pile and tossing normal size players to the side like sandbags.
