Austin Jackson is one heck of a player

Yes he is. His slugging percentage is 1 point less than Konerko now. Damn Granderson trade has really given this franchise a boost. Jackson deserves MVP votes.

Two nights in a row Farmio has wondered aloud why in tarnation you'd ever throw Delmon Young a first pitch fastball. Maybe we need someone sort of quality control coach/aboriginee with blowdart experience intercepting some of these baseball decisions before they make their way onto the field.

We are using the same scouting report that we used for Billy Butler.

Scotty Pods is batting 3rd for Boston tonight. Boston's not going to do the Sox any favors in the Wild Card hunt the rest of the way.

That one from the Konerko school of hitting

That hit sums up the whole night.

I think the board would have exploded if Myers was coming in :) Looking forward to seeing Heath pitch.

We need to do a better job either vetting players we pick up for testicular fortitude or do a better job at prepping players that they move through the system. Year after year of the post asb choke to the teams that they need to beat. It's the baseball equivalent of how teams attack the Blackhawks. Punch the sox right in the mouth, run your mouth against them and then watch them crumble and counter.

Sometimes I think it's better to get players from winning organizations. But eventually they get that Sox stink on them and fall in line.

+1

The only thing that is left is for the Tigers to openly taunt the Sox. That will put the nail in the coffin with our fragile mental state.

Their defense sucks, and that's what will probably sink them in the playoffs. But the Tigers are better, and their starting pitching is in better shape going into the final 30 games.

The Sox are done. 86-76, here we come.

Not tonight everyone knows the fate in this one.

Don't make excuses for Reed, he gives up a run routinely

Not cause of whether or not Myers would be effective, but because of his games finished clause.

GB says thank God

If this goes bad for the sox they will spin it on how they were never meant to be here and how this is a great season.

He's had a solid year, but for all the taunting Valverde receives on here, his numbers are way better than Reed so far this year. The Tigers quietly have an excellent bullpen again, as they got rid of some of the guys who were getting rocked earlier in the year (Ballester).

Hawk is writing the speech tonight it sounds like.

And somehow here still looking up at the Sox. At least for another day.

Wonder what Beckham was saying to Prince.

Hopefully it was "teach me how to hit".

Is that not true though? You know I hate that type of mentality as much as anyone, but no matter what happens this year, it's been a strong season. Something of note if the Sox don't make the postseason is that thankfully they didn't give up anyone who had a real future in the organization in order to get Youk, Liriano and Myers.

Prince told GB he is not a miracle worker.........................Hawk calls tonight performance top 5 against Sox all year.

It is, the Sox didn't even come close to scoring.

Valverde is such a jag
