I can understand what he was thinking, but still, no reason to just stop.

I have a feeling his innings will be decreased here shortly.

The pulling up made sense but he watched the rest of the play develop without ever sprinting. I have no idea what went through his head, it would have made more sense if he had at least made some last ditch effort to run hard

Doesn't matter if he gets tagged there....if he stops, he's out and the runner still is at 2B.

Run hard the whole way through and the White Sox have a golden opportunity.

Now it's going to take a dreaded hit with RISP. Maybe in some ways, it's appropriate.

I understand stopping so you don't get tagged, but once he threw it to 2nd, you have to bust it to first.

Should be Dan Johnson batting here

It is.

Ray Olmedo, a TRUE MLB caliber talent

For those of us on gamecast, what happened?

....wait, what?

Wow!

Great managing this inning by Ventura!

Even Liilibridge doesn't make a mistake like that.

But...why

Yes he does.

Here we go fellas, can Alexei be a hero.

He likes September!

3rd best hitter in the AL with RISP.

Fastball hitter against FB pitcher.

Dumb move by Yost, IMO. You face the cold hitter off the bench in Johnson.

Olmedo bunted down the 1b line. First baseman fielded the ball and Olmedo stopped so he couldn't tag him. First baseman threw the ball to 2nd to try to get De Aza. Failed to get that out, Olmedo then slowly jogged it to first, being barely thrown out. He'd have gotten to 1st easily if he ran hard after the stop.

Whatever, just get a hit Alexei

Hahahaha, PH Johnson when Wise was going to be walked anyways. Now PR for him.

Holy s*** it's amateur hour again.

Olmedo bunted down the first base line. He stopped to avoid the tag, but never started again when they went to second. He was thrown out at 1st. ADA safe at second.

farmer said Ramirez didn't start due to a team infraction? what happened?

They would have pitched to Wise with Collins on the mound on Flowers against Herrera.

Thank God they didn't send the runner...

THANK GOD WE DIDN'T SEND DE AZA
