Olmedo wasn't even a veteran from another team.

 

He was more like a lifer AAAA journeyman hanging on for the salary and per diem in the International League.

Agreed, absolutely horrible call against a guy who was throwing the ball all over. If you do it, do it with 0 strikes to at least give ADA a chance to fight in the AB. Ventura and the stupid bunt today cost us dearly.

3) DeAza's blown suicide squeeze when the ball hits his bat

Worst AB by a Sox player that I've seen all year. Not running to 1st base on that one play combined with that at bat makes me question Robin. Hopefully we don't see any more Olmedo the rest of the year.

 

I just can't believe the inability to beat the Kansas City Royals, a team that is 14 games under .500, may very well end up costing us the division. Sickening.

My first reaction after Robin pulled Myers for Septimo: "f*** YOU ROBIN, YOU HAD SEPTIMO READY AND DIDN'T USE HIM AGAINST MOUSTAKAS?"

Also, zero confidence in Liriano beating Scherzer. In a way, it's fitting, the season rides on the shoulders of Peavy and Sale. Which Verlander will show up Thurday night? Which Sale? 89-91 MPH or 92-95 MPH version?
