How the hell did Chris Davis hit 33 home runs? He's the O's second best offensive player.

He always been a player who is super streaky, will hit everything for a month and nothing the next.

Freddit Gonzalez with the first "genius" managerial move of the playoffs, benching his starting catcher.

Oh Chipper...

And then absolute awful move by bunting with Simmons.

Wow brutal infield fly call

It was the right call. Cards got a break.

Infield fly rule in the middle of the outfield. Interesting...

Totally disagree, that was in left field. He wasn't camped under the ball at all

Where the ball is doesn't matter actually.

He was under it. By the book its the right call.

He called it a millisecond before the ball dropped. Also, it wasn't an easy trip to get out there, it was a long ways. Terrible call.

He was still drifting back on that and in no way should that have been called an infield fly.

Nothing will come from this protest.

However, this is embarrassing Braves fans.

It has to be ordinary effort. Going out there isn't "ordinary."

No kidding. I didn't think they cared this much

Protest? The Nationals need to fly to Atlanta or St. Louis tonight. They better rule on that quick.

The infield fly is suppose to be called immediately. Not after the infielder runs 30ft into the outfield grass.

Wrong call.

Do believe that the call should have been made sooner?

The call cant just be made sooner. Its made when the requirements are met I.e. infielder there. The call can happen whenever.

I've never been an ump, but all of the people on the TBS broadcast seem to think it was the wrong call. Are they wrong? Why? (not being a jerk, just asking)

Also, why can't the call be appealed to the other umps? The 3B ump certainly didn't call it that way.

So if the infielder doesn't make an effort the call won't be made? That doesn't seem right.
