AJ Pierzynski Appreciation thread

And then there was one -- Paulie, the last connection to 2005.

Game Two of the ALCS was the only post-season game I was fortunate to attend. That game was the key to the post-season run -- and A.J. outthinking Josh Paul, Doug Eddings and everybody else was key to winning that game.

Thanks for the memories A.J.

wish you the best -- except for those six games every year.

Anyone got the video of that HR? Stupid ass MLB and their asinine video strategy.

Here you go

Well, I'll have to revise my Favorite current player. AJ just might be my new favorite White Sox player ever. Sorry Little Louie.

AJ's "Move b****" YTMND video.

EDIT: The swear filter applies to hyperlinks too. You'll have to edit the link with the "b" word.

As much as I hate to see A.J. not retire in a Sox uniform, I feel like this is the best move for the Sox. Thanks, for 2005 A.J. and some of the most memorable games I've ever attended in my life. I'll never forget Game 2 of the ALCS, and that sucker punch you took from Barrett. Really created some great memories with my dad. Good luck in Texas and keep driving those Halo fans crazy.

Should go down as one of the best Sox of all time. Brought it 162 games a year regardless of the team around hi

One of KWs best pickups. Ill miss him.

He still may. He will play several more years.

I wish AJ nothing but the best in Texas......................thanks for 2005 :)

What a 180 for me -- I used to absolutely hate AJ when he was with the Twins. Now I hate to see him go. I look forward to the salute coming his way when the Rangers visit Chicago next season.

Here's hoping Tyler Flowers makes it even easier to say so long.

Bah, this is just sinking in even though I knew it was coming. Too bad. Thanks, AJ!

Joe, Row, & Pole !!! Thanks for 05!! The Polish Prince will be missed.

AJ had the best commercials.

The Buehrle part at the end of that is amazing.

I was at the bar in a beer garden in college with two buddies. That was an epic game.

In celebration, I stuck both fists up into a rotating ceiling fan when he hit that HR.

To me, Game Two of the ALCS was the iconic moment of the post season.

I appreciate what AJ did for us and his time here, but it was time to move on. Wish the best to AJ

It was certainly time to turn the page; however, AJ was our first serviceable catcher at the dish and in the field since forever. He was an instrumental player in our successes in 2005 through last year. I'll never have a bad thing to say about him for all he did for this franchise.

As I'm sure everybody has heard, we are going to miss AJ. He has been such a great friend to me over the last 3.5 yrs. One great Southsider.

I still don't understand when people say its time to move on from him.

Coming off a great year nd we have no replacement to feel confident in. Yeah, great time to move on.

You don't have confidence in the replacement. The organization obviously does.

A career year for a catcher at age 35 is not something that will be repeated. This is a great time to move on.

If you traded him for something, but we got nothing. He doesn't have repeat last year either.

Which also doesn't mean you have to bring him back
