Don't crucify me for saying this, but letting Urlacher walk was letting ego supercede sense. Say whatever you want about him, he led the D on the field and I doubt they'd be so lazy out there with him.

I suppose. Seems like a non-schematic issue and I'm just as likely to blame the HC for the entire defense looking so unenthused as I am anybody else

Yes. Lovie always emphasized swarming the ball and picking up anything that hit the ground.

I feel like you can't say players on offense "gave themselves up" AMD call plays over and not consider that play dead.

Dude that is all coaching. The ball is ALWAYS LIVE. The Lovie Bears would always pick up incomplete passes, theyd do anything to end the play holding the football even if it was iinconsequential.

Seems like playing hard is an issue that concerns the HC and captains more than coordinators, but it is obviously reasonable to implicate Tucker

And these guys are? Really I don't see how he could noticeably worse than Bostic. At least Urlacher commands some respect and can make a read.
