For the obvious reason that Payton Manning isn't conducting himself like an idiot on national TV.

Yes, maybe not the best wording. My point is, how does showing attitude & emotion immediately following a highly charged violent game suddenly make one incapable of earning a college diploma? Especially when every other player on the field went through a similar program at a university. There's plenty of smart people out there that are major douchebags.

What is sad is even in that interview, he is still more articulate than Derrick Rose.

Sherman is smart, hes just arrogant.

And the real issue is that who is going to say hes wrong, you dont have to be humble if youre actually the best.

One thing we learned is that if you want your NFL team to make the Super Bowl, your state needs to legalize marijuana.

I don't get your post that came out of nowhere. I didn't even post anything today. Seriously, why the f*** do you even care? I never liked the Bears so it's not like I've turned on them. And I've said it several times...if the Raiders were the AFC representative, I'd root for them hands down. Next time I'll give you a call to get you approval before I root for a team.

No need to like my photos from the game on facebook if you're going to be phony about,

Touchy subject much? I'm giving you s***!

Brings a new facet to the home field advantage ;)

I cant wait until New York has an absolute s*** weather superbowl. Lets get a a few feet of snow followed by negative temps

Who thought it was a great idea to have a superbowl in NY in February? Someone needs to be taken behind the shed.

The same reason people thought it'd be a good idea to host a soccer tournament in Qatar in June/July.

I'm sure Seattle would love that.

If it's extra windy & cold, I think it would be a huge advantage for Seattle.

As much as I'd love to see a SB in Chicago, the awfulness of this year's SB will make that unlikely.

Super Bowl is in New Jersey, not New York. Get it together people.

He would be a solid nose tackle. Not really a great pass rusher, but he could eat up blockers inside.

"We showed today who the best team was. I'm the best corner on the best defense on the best team in the NFL. Next, the Superbowl!"

If he says that (or something similar), the reaction is far less illicit in nature and more "Richard being Richard." Cocky and fun sells - this "HE HATE ME, ME AGAINST THE WORLD" attitude, especially when you are one of the best players in the NFL, does not.

As far as I'm aware, cannibalism is still illegal in New Jersey.

Will never happen because it's the smallest stadium by seating capacity in the league and doesn't meet minimum seating requirements for a Super Bowl.

If you make a large enough donation to Christie's campaign, he will look the other way

and everyone, including Chicagoans, know that it is f***ING COLD IN CHICAGO IN FEBRUARY. However, in NY, they are like "NBD. ITS NEW YORK"

I see him as more of a RG/RT.

Lots of posts today that I've missed out on...

But let's back up. Someone earlier said that Peyton wasn't smart outside of football. That's false. He may not be a Rhodes Scholar, but he's a smart dude. Also, you better check your condescending tone about a degree from Tennessee. Them are fightin' words. :P

That Patriots vs Broncos game yesterday was really boring.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 09:19 AM)
I also think much of Peyton's quoted intelligence comes from the fact that he shreds defenses like a paper shredder. Over the last 10 years, Peyton Manning led teams are 125-35 and his QB rating is 102.9. The one year he was injured and did not play, his team went 2-14. The dude is one of the smartest quarterbacks in NFL history. I don't think anyone has ever said the dude is one of the smartest people in the world, or that he even has average intelligence outside of football. I don't think we have the capability of knowing that.

The only way we know how to judge these guys is based on their reactions, interviews, and actions on the football field. How else are we supposed to judge them, sit down and give them an aptitude test?

Cooper then cut the interview off and asked the reporter to leave.

“People think Peyton is smart?” continued Cooper, now shouting. “He’s a dumbass. Trust me on this. He knows nothing but football. He thinks a good business investment is buying up a bunch of Papa Johns franchises in f–king Denver.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to that but it turned into a stinker. The Pats were running 3 wide sets with Collie, Edelman, and Amendola. That is absolutely terrible.
