Do you think it's that or is the opposition making adjustments while our pitchers/catchers aren't?

It seems our pitching staff wasn't pushed very hard in ST.

No business having 2 starters in a row, hitting the wall at ~80 pitches.

Especially when the weather's warm.

It's not like they're pitching is sub-zero temperatures in Chicago with a wind chill in the minus 20's.

Veal threw that pitch at 92 MPH right over the very heart of the plate.

Not good.

Clicking on all cylinders tonight

Well this has been fun

Veal DOES understand that his only value here, is to retire lefties, right? Because he can't do it very well at all.

Try the Veal. No thanks. Span sitting dead red after failure to throw a strike with the hook.

Does Robin remember we also have Santiago out there?

SANTIAGO?

Does he STILL EXIST ON THE ROSTER???

Why the hell would he be using Jones here? Just to rebuild his confidence?

We're about one more week from the return of Leyson Septimo.

I'm sure they're saving Santiago in case Axelrod or Quintana get bombed. As for Veal, it's so obvious he's short-arming/aiming his offspeed pitch.

Gillaspie has looked very good so far this year. That was a very good trade by Hahn.

Isn't he hurt?

Nice pitch by Jones.

Tied him up....up and in with the 97 MPH fastball and induced the DP.

Still sort of a game...if the Sox offense besides Rios wakes up.

Gavin leaves another start that he craps the bed once the 5th inning begins.

Tolleson will probably get the call when Beckham goes on the DL.

Gavin Floyd is just too damn painful to watch. 7 K's in 5.1 innings of work. The guy is just a mental f***. Desmond and Espinosa are killing them.

Guess so.

That leaves Moskos and Purcey as the two options at the moment...doubt it would be Santos Rodriguez yet.

That would be a shocker. Tolleson, son or father Wayne, just aren't/weren't that good.

Good job Flowers. Been useless this series.

If only some of our other guys would inside-out or opposite way swing like that.

For someone that catches so many inside fastballs, you'd think he'd realize that's how the opposition is going to pitch him until he can prove he can hit that pitch.

He hasnt figured that out in his entire career so far.

0 for his last 13,7 Ks, and very little resembling a good approach either.

So Peavy admitted he ran out of gas last night? UGH

Nats have 24 hits already in this series.
