I can understand being afraid to triple him up with a fastball, but I sure as hell am not throwing a slider anywhere near the zone (probably not throwing a fastball in the zone there, either)

 

Well, they did try the slider on the 3rd pitch, it was just 5-6 inches off the plate and he didn't bite.

 

When those sliders flatten out and aren't getting that sharp, downward plane...watch out below if you're in the bleachers.

Gillaspie should have never been up there to face a LHP. That last swing was worse than NL pitchers.
