Get Iglesias as 3rd piece of deal tonight and then deal Alexei to the Cardinals tomorrow?

I'm okay with that I suppose. As long as he's more of a throw in.

Easy to give out false information though until deal is finalized. With that said, I don't think for a second he'll be involved.

Yep

Spoke to a White Sox source who laughed at all the Peavy trade rumors. Don't believe everything you read. Been many smoke screens.

The Red Sox and White Sox have been talking about Jake Peavy, and sources say it's got legs.

I can dig it.

Not sure how reliable this guy is:

Sure sounds like there's a good chance Jake Peavy will land in Boston for Bradley, Jr., Iglesias and Ranaudo, or something of the sort...

Olney says it has legs

I guess Ron Santo won't be traded

Olney just found bucket's post from a week ago

Remember when you had to give up a top 25 prospect who hit .400, a promising young starting catcher with a laser arm and a low minors power hitter for a declining, fat, drunk and sweaty Freddie?

Talked to him before...normally pretty trustworthy

Do I really have to stay up to see why Alberto Callaspo was pulled from the Angels game?

Sounds like he's piecing together the pullings. I still say Bradley is too much lest we are throwing in Reed or another piece.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 07:24 PM)
Even if it is Boston, I don't think Bradley Jr. would be involved. Iglesias better not be the centerpiece.

They need Bradley to replace Ellsbury, don't they?

Olney, Heyman, and Bowden all tweet basically the same thing within minutes of each other... Is this the first time we have seen all three report the same thing at the same time? Might actually be true.

Unless they're planning on bringing him back?

Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 19s

Red Sox have lurked as favorites for Peavy, and opposing executives are convinced they're going to do something big. This would qualify.

He was declining. Look at the numbers. There were also a lot of questions about his character and desire to play baseball too. Worked out though.
