I can't see them putting Rienzo in the pen after the way he's been pitching as a starter but it wouldn't be crazy. Not necessarily. If the Sox did trade Lindstrom or Reed, they could call Reinzo to take the roster spot, and still be in line to take Peavy's start if/when he's traded. That way if Jake makes does for some reason start, Reinzo could still be a back-up if they had to pull him suddenly.
