December 9, 201312 yr And looking at it from the trading team's perspective, why would you give up the farm for a guy built like Sale? So far so good in durability, but stuff happens. The great ones that pitch to their late 30's are freaks of nature. For the same reason why teams didn't draft Chris Sale, they probably don't want to trade for him now either--especially with what the Sox would want in return. Edited December 9, 201312 yr by flavum

Already went over that deal. Have to be A LOT more than that. 2. I think we can get better than Lucroy for that package. 3. That deal would never happen. Yankees prefer to trade Ichiro as Gardner will play LF. 4. No need to trade for a 2b. We have Semein, Johnson and Sanchez coming up. 5. This would be ideal to pair him up with Sale and Quintana.

I'd also try and and add more pieces for Grandal if at all possible. 3B and C would hopefully be covered for years.
