I know the Twins are bad..but this is promising for Q after a suspect spring.

That was pretty much traced to the guy taking the physical for his brand new contract extension. There was never a loss of velocity or anything that should have been a red flag.

So yeah...Alejandro's probably gonna go yard 30 times this year.

It's interesting to see him go from a slap hitter with gap power in 2012 to the turn and burn pull hitter he is now.

One way to rid yourself of dumb baserunning is to take all four bases at once.

Tyler, you're going to get a first ball fastball on every AB. You might as well get the bat started early.

Flowers can hit!

I'll take Flowers striking out, does anyone want to take any other outcome?

Yes.

Why not play Nieto Robin? Why?

Edit: Oh that's why...

Is it time to say "uncle" on the why isn't Viciedo playing yet?

EDIT: Wow

I WIN!

Flowers made contact with a 94 MPH fastball middle-in. That's a rare occasion.

If Flowers ever figures out how to guess right, he can hit 25 HR's just running into pitches. That bat speed tho.

Leury should go up there and bunt....every.single.time.

It's a good thing Ventura isn't as baseball savvy as all of us message board posters.

Sometimes Eaton looks like he's not even looking. He just goes up there and flails at the ball.

46 pitches for Hughes through two innings.

Edited by Jose Abreu

In 2.2 games, Eaton has 2 dives into 1st.

To me he's Kelly Shoppach. He'll have one really nice year where things will work out for him, and live off it for 5 or 6 more seasons of rubbish.

Eaton should stop diving into first. It doesn't really help you get there any faster.

That works out to a grindfactor of 1.69.

Grinder-Esque

He was damned close to being safe too - if he wasn't actually safe as it may have been.

Super close play
