Sox vs Twins April 3 game thread

Featured Replies

I mentioned this the other day, but Semien is known to be a slow starter. With that said, they might want to drop him down in the order to take some pressure off of him.

Dunn usual KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Those runs should definitely be unearned.

Dunn go away....

The WP wouldn't make the runs unearned, but the error for the botched rundown should.

No one technically reached on an error.

The Sox have an error on the board, so what was that for?

They are, at least according to MLB Gameday.

MLB Gameday scored them as unearned.

They had them as earned earlier in the inning when I checked. I guess they changed it.

Edit: they still have them as earned.

Seems like whenever the White Sox have a chance to step on the neck of an opponent and sweep an opponent, they let it get away.

After Mauer didn't hit a predictable double or homer ahead in the count, you ALMOST thought Quintana could get out of it...but, NAH, of course not.

Mauer still doesn't have a hit, he and Semien have one thing in common this series.

The botched rundown attempt on Escobar. He didn't REACH because of an error though, he just advanced because of one.

Either way, all 3 runs are unearned, I'm not sure where the confusion is.

On the MLB audio box score they show all 3 runs as unearned.

Unearned according to ESPN boxscore.

BTW, Flowers blows!

159 games of the Adam Dunn Experiment left...matter of fact, that will make a good sig...

Yea, that has happened a lot this season of 2 games

Look at Flowers, not letting a 2nd runner reach after a K. Way to be, kid!

Been this way under Ventura so far.

Abreu's baseline interference with Escobar...getting in his way (it wasn't a missed catch as it's saying at mlb.com).

I wonder if Hawk is knowingly calling those runs unearned.

They were.

Quintana's absolutely nasty today. It's a shame Flowers and the defense cost him a shot at going deep in this game.

Sometimes I wonder why there aren't more dugout fights. I would have lit my teammates up if I was Q.

Obviously he is referring to years past, but he is also forgetting it's the 4th inning and we are only down by 2. I'm not sure why anyone is throwing in the towel on this game. The Twins aren't good.

INCLUDING LAST SEASON...whenever you think they MIGHT be able to get on an extended winning streak, everything just falls apart.

That's a great way to burn bridges 2 games into the year.

I'd be pissed, but I wouldn't make a huge deal out of it.

Flowers passed ball was the most excusable. It was a ball that was swung at and in the dirt. The rundown was bush league and Avi's BS dive attempt were just pathetic.
