Earlier Wednesday, at the end of a panel discussion on Jackie Robinson, the moderator told Williams he had spoken to former manager Ozzie Guillen, who told him wanted to return to the Cell.

I think this is what he's talking about, but even if it's not, it would not be a prominent role with the White Sox organization. Someone mentioned as an ambassador. That would be fine.

Depends on the language of the contract, but as I stated, I don't think KW's comment was for a paid role. Just coming to a game, and perhaps visiting the clubhouse. Then I was told he can't do that because of his contract with the Marlins. I don't think that is accurate in the least. Why would Loria care if Ozzie went to the Sox clubhouse?

99 percent sure ewok pelts was referring to the "coming back to coach" part of your statement, not visiting the clubhouse. I'm sure Ozzie has been in a clubhouse since he lost his job

actually no. he cant go inside another ballpark while a ballgame is scheduled without permission of the marlins. he was able to go to the boxing match because it wasnt a baseball event.

 

mlb has tampering rules for a reason. he would need to forgo his salary with the marlins to take any position with the sox. not sure how the rules work with his espn duties.

I can't quote him but I do remember he was saying things about how Ozzie handled the team without stating his name explicitly. Something like that "that type of clubhouse is in the past" and another more direct dig I can't recall.
