You guys remember Joba Chamberlain?

The Joba Rules

Det 8-3 ADA SF

Ale continues with the bad luck.

Get bases loaded 1 run best Sox can do this year.

Nieto swings at the first one off a guy who can't buy a strike

Dude that's what Verlander ALWAYS throws early in the game.

If he really wants to, like Greinke, he'll reach back for 2-3 MPH on his fastball in the early innings, then peaking like Colon used to at the end at 96-100.

It's not like EVERYONE in baseball isn't starting to talk about Abreu as a legit threat/MVP candidate. Verlander probably didn't catch the video of Abreu's COL homer to CF, or concern himself about it.

But he definitely was charged up to face him in his second at-bat, especially after the balk call.

Of course, we all know how many stories were written about velocity drops for Verlander and King Felix last year.

Semien error here we go.

Sox lineup now featuring 3 guys in the .360's batting average.

Have to wonder how much influence Abreu had on Missle and Tank.

The world's greatest pitching depth isn't coming through

It was pretty obvious in the spring we had zero depth.

And it was also obvious that Downs had nothing left - he threw softballs in the spring, just like now. Veal is a better pitcher than Downs.

Leesman should be sent to the pen in Charlotte; he clearly can't start but maybe he has enough command to get lefties out. Cabrera slaughtered him, but a lot of the hits were the result of placement and poor D.

Alexi playing a weird SS tonight way toward 3rd base side let 4 hits go by him tonight.

I have made the same observation in other games; never said anything to anybody.

Tonight it seems extreme to me.

If DV works out for the Sox I believe Abreu has to have some major influence so it's promising to see Tank playing better.

can he retire now?

That hit so reminded me of the scene in Little Big League when Jerry got the single.

Dunn! get that trade value up!

Dunn! Nice job by the offense tonight.

You or me bring that scene up once a year. Not sure if that's sad or awesome.

DV nice game.
