For as bad as Ventura managed the end of Sale's outing last week, Ausmus just looked even worse right there. Verlander had absolutely nothing left and was nearing 120 pitches and he STILL let him face Eaton. Absolutely terrible managing.

Verlander's just not the same pitcher. He's still got good velocity, but his location with his good fastballs is all over the place. He has trouble putting hitters away.
