So when is Abreu going to learn plate discipline?

If he does not lay off that pitch he will never hit over .270

Fine with me as long as he hits 40 homers

Jesus come on

This is a joke.

about time

It reminds me of Nestor Molina, where his stats were so incredibly bad compared to past performance that you hoped there was some simple explanation for it other than that they forgot how to play the game.

In Nestor's defense, he's spent a fair amount of time on the DL and apparently saw an instant degradation in quality of stuff. He also had less of a track record of success than these guys since he'd only been a starting pitcher for one season.

Great question - that shouldn't have been that difficult a call for the 2nd base umpire to make.

Has the umpiring really been this bad all these years? It's never felt that way. But with the advent of the replay review, it seems like there are many more blown calls than you'd expect.

Be careful what you wish for. I would take .285 and 35 HR any day.

This will be all you hear the next few days is his first CG.

No...they'll talk about the Heat sucking

Umpire wanted to be part of history BS call to end it.

Lol.. Why do we always allow pitchers 1st or most in a game?

Well we did win the series.. Hopefully we can do the same this weekend

Christ, finally Scherzer gets his 1st career CG so we can stop hearing about it every time he starts. Now if he can fix that other eye, we can end all the repetitive talking points.

What sucks is that Sale possibly outpitched Scherzer. It just came down to 1 swing by Vmart.

7 weeks til the trade deadline.

Hey Sox--pick a lane.

Baseball circles will not.
