After seeing Lebron shut down Rose a few years back I think it's possible he could play the 2.

Lol, Kawhi Leonard styled on him. The guy LeBron covered in the Finals got FMVP. LeBron's defense is insanely overrated.

 

Melo and LBJ make no sense at. Miami is gonna let their only legit big walk to bring in another SF? One of the two would have to move over to PF, LeBron being the more viable option, that would mean he's going to have to bang with big bodies night in and night out (read a ZLowe article that LeBron himself admits he doesn't like doing that) grab the defensive rebounds instead of being out on the perimeter and getting easy fastbreak opportunities. You can put Melo at PF but he's also come out saying he doesn't like physical play too much either. Anthony is also prone to giving up great low post position to his opponent.

 

Melo and LeBron is a turrible idea imo.

I don't see the appeal in the Lakers at all. They suck. Kobe and Nash can't stay healthy. Gasol's not that good anymore and he might not even re-sign. Julius Randall's a nice piece, but he's a rookie. They don't have a center. So yeah...great roster. Even NY's a better situation.

 

Oh and they also don't have a coach right now. Why the hell would you join them?

I like Randle, it's annoying though that Woj's foot injury report turned out to be false, that cost him a couple million.

 

But he still does have foot injury concerns, never fun for a big.

I feel like the La La angle is a bit overplayed. They're rich as hell, they can fly to wherever the hell they want when they want. Just because Melo would play somewhere else doesn't mean they have to move there and stay there permanently.

Bosh supposedly being offered a max deal by Houston.....Should that happen does anyone know if they'll be able to afford Parsons? He's been my plan C after Melo/Love for awhile now.

I think they are able to match whatever offer Parsons gets, whether they're over or under the cap.

 

The thing is, if they give Bosh $24 million a year and match Parson's $12 million offer, they'd be $5 million over the luxury tax.

 

Also, signing Bosh is dependent on the Rockets' ability to get rid of Lin's contract.

Well, if LeBron gets the max and Bosh and Wade get paid what they're worth, yeah.

 

I mean, seriously, Josh McRoberts? He does a bit of everything for you and might be able to start at the 4 for Miami, but I don't think he really makes them all that much better.

 

A guy like Gasol would have been a great get, but McRoberts seems like a mediocre consolation prize at best.

Pierce is asking for $9-10 million from the Nets while the Nets are only willing to go with $6-8 million.

 

In the case where the Bulls strike out on all better options (Melo, Bosh, Parsons, Hayward), would you give Pierce $9-10 million a year for two years?

Pretty much quells any chance of Melo heading there as they can't sign Melo and use the MLE. I suppose they could maybe do a sign and trade to maneuver it, but I don't know that they would have the players to do so, unless it is some odd 4 team deal with Bosh headed to Houston, Melo to Miami, and expirings / contracts / picks to Knicks?
