Favorite Dylan Axelrod moment

Featured Replies

It's a slow news day

Oh, mine was that time he won a game, didn't he outduel Felix or something? So that was actually kind of cool.

Mine is this thread.

Seriously though, I have nothing against Dylan, he did the best he could and that's all Jesus could ask of him.

Mine was when he was just sitting in the dugout watching other White Sox pitchers pitch.

His first 11 starts last year were pretty fun.....

"What are we going to do with all these starters now that Axelrod has figured it out? Sale, Peavy, Floyd, Danks, Quintana, Santiago AND Axelrod?!?!? That's seven starters!"

What is "Keep, trade, surgically repair, keep, keep, trade, and non-tender then sign then trade?"

I always thought of Guns 'N Roses' cover of Knockin' on Heavens Door, and that Dylan Axelrod is a pretty cool name to have.

Today is favorite moment.

My son and I met Axelrod during a tour of US Cellular (part of a perk from a BullsSox Academy camp). We then went to a game a few days later, and Axelrod was the starter. He actually pitched well, and the Sox won on a walk-off single by Youkilis.

I was at the game vs. seattle. Pretty sure we won 3-2 behind a 3 run alex rios homer and stellar Dylan pitching. Not many guys pitch in the bigs, he had so little talent, and made it. Tried his best. Tip my cap.

It was cool of him to take Chris Sale's spot in the rotation the only time I flew home a couple summers ago. I didn't buy the tickets to see Sale pitch in the red uniforms. No no. I was lucky enough to see Colby Rasmus & co tee off on DA right away instead. Thanks again Dylan.

One of the main reasons we were able to get a top 3 pick. (Rodon) Got nothing bad to say about Dylan. Kudos to him for even making the majors.

I was at the fog game last year against the Blue Jays. It was Axelrod vs. Dickey, both got rocked

Didn't he pitcher a two hit shut out a year or so ago? Seems to me I watched that game. Trouble with DA is that he could be successful for a few games and then it caught up to him and he was giving up homers like crazy

The fact that Dylan Axelrod pitched in the majors with the crap for stuff that he has is a testament to the job someone is doing.

If you gave Masaharu Morimoto dog s***, cat s***, and chicken s***, the only thing he's going to be able to serve you is s***. It doesn't mean he's not a great pitching coach.
