August 8, 201411 yr Also, watching Ravelo hit from that front angle, getting a better idea of his bat speed. He starts late, but he's real quick the bat and makes up for it. I like it. And still like Smith's swing, short and quick, with some power.

No doubt it's an improvement, but he went from mowing down everyone the first two innings to getting into trouble in almost every inning after. Baby steps though!

August 8, 201411 yr Johnson, at least right now, doesn't have the stuff to be an effective reliever...that said, he's probably a better alternative than Surkamp. Heck, Nolan Ryan might be a better option.
