Didn't know the Sox were involved.

 

Just hate it when people say "Sox" and mean Red Sox. You don't just say "Chicago" is interested in a player, or "New York" is interested in a player, so why would you say the "Sox" are interested in a player?

 

 

Already said in a Pale Hose thread, but A's deal Brandon Moss to the Indians for minor leaguer Joey Wendle.

I know the Cubs are going to end up signing or trading for an ace. I'd rather it be Lester as opposed to Zimmermann or Price or Cueto. If they give Lester a 7 year deal, that would be insane. By the time their stud prospects become stars (if they end up reaching their potential), then it's likely Lester will be well past his peak.

Man, 7 years is a long damn contract for a pitcher in his 30s. Can't think of one contract for a pitcher that long that worked out well
