According to @JeffPassan, the A's send Derek Norris and RHP Seth Streich to the Padres in exchange for RHPs Jesse Hahn and R.J. Alvarez.

 

Not a bad deal for Oakland.

Hahn is a very good pick up for the A's

Oakland always makes sure that they have enough young pitching. It's certainly worked for them.

 

and if you can develop young pitching, just solid non-elite, you can trade it for good players.

If anything, SD should be looking at playing Kemp at 1B. Especially after hearing about Kemp's medicals.
