Now looking like an almost complete blood bath for Republicans.

Will be interesting. They will be gaining some control right as the country is relatively crisis-free, all the favorite indicators improving. Will Obama be credited with those things the same way he was blamed back when they were worse? POTUS election in 2016 looking exceedingly meaningful as it will be hard for Dems to get Congressional control

Senate map is much better for democrats in 2016

I don't know if it's wishful thinking or what, but I've had this dream that Republicans act less awful once they feel like they are in control

lol@Charlie Crist

Grimes gets smoked. Nunn gets smoked......judges can't help Orman weasel his way in...I'll take a possible 53.. A good night....

Good riddance Pat Quinn you lied one too many times. Oboooma and wife did you no good showing up hurt your cause imo. Nice to see Harry Reid lose his power in senate also.

Now go away forever oberweis

I'm predicting the Washington D.C. pissing contest is only going to be worse now.

LOL Sam Brownback wins.

My god, what a state I live in. Maybe that bastard in the bathroom was right. I guess I did waste my time voting today. Oh well, at least I felt damn powerful when I voted against Brownback and for the police station they want to raise taxes for.

I guess now they'll pass the tax hike for the police campus here and I'll probably get arrested for jaywalking or going five miles over the limit after voting for the cops.

I also had a theory like this. Maybe it's wishful thinking.

I also wonder what will happen when they won't have a black man to blame.

I'm glad both constitutional amendments and the minimum wage question did well.

Why it's exceedingly likely that Hilary Clinton will win in 2016...and nothing that happened last night runs against that momentum, except for the possibility of Booker's win in Colorado serving as a template for "Bill Clintonesque triangulation" all over the US....good luck finding candidates capable of that

If he does something bold on immigration, next summer.

It's going to be eerily reminiscent of when they overreached with the House on the Monica Lewinsky affair.

So voters want a higher minimum wage, legal pot, abortion access and GOP representation. Ok then.

So has anyone who ran as a Dem but ran away from Obama/Obamacare actually won a race? It's never seemed like a winning strategy to me and didn't appear to work last night, either.

The Republican Wave lifted many boats last night, including that of 18-year-old Saira Blair. The college freshman was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in a landslide—she earned 63 percent of the vote to her 44-year-old Democratic opponent's 30 percent—and officially became the youngest lawmaker in the country. She'll represent a district of about 18,000 people in the eastern part of the state, near the Maryland border.

The Wall Street Journal describes Blair as "fiscally conservative," and she "campaigned on a pledge to work to reduce certain taxes on businesses." Her website boasts an "A" rating from the NRA and endorsements from West Virginians for Life. As a 17-year-old, Blair primaried the 66-year-old Republican incumbent Larry Kump and advanced to the general election—all while legally being unable to cast a vote for herself. Democratic attorney Layne Diehl, her general election opponent, had only good things to say last night about the teenager who beat her: "Quite frankly a 17- or 18-year-old young woman that has put herself out there and won a political campaign has certainly brought some positive press to the state."

Blair, an economics and Spanish major at West Virginia University, will defer her spring classes to attend the legislative session in the state capital. There, she'll join her father and campaign manager, Craig, who is a state senator.

Speaking of John Oliver, his bit on Mitch McConnell and that election was awesome.

Ehh. If Jim Webb or Elizabeth Warren runs, they will both have a better shot than Hilary in my opinion. Jim Webb would absolutely destroy her.
