I hate you

I hate you

Believe it or not, from mid-December through the end of February, when down here it goes above and then back below freezing every day, constantly icing up your car, I actually miss the Chicago/N. Indiana winters. But not in mid-November. I don't miss it then.

I'm gonna be out there for Thanksgiving, but the temps are gonna drop into the 50s and 60s, WTF?

We went to Louisville on vacation one year. It was around August IIRC. Every morning we got up it was so humid it was hard to breathe.

That pretty much sums it up, though this past summer was very mild, the most pleasant one we've had since I've lived here.

May and October are the best months to visit here (There's a reason they run the Derby in May).

Plows parked all throughout the Gurnee Mills parking lot. Gulp

we have to pick up a foster dog tomorrow morning. This dog is coming up here from Texas, I think it will be in for quite a shock

The foster organization begged us. They wanted us to take three 9 week puppies but we ended up taking a 5 month yellow lab

Weather man said 4.5" at OHare, but seems more like 2. None of it is really sticking to the ground yet, roads were fine, although that's probably normal at 5 am on a Saturday

We have lots

There's about a foot of snow in Gurnee right now.

Ugh...

Agreed. I'm going to go shovel now, but I'm not looking forward to it. :/

The final measurement I saw for our little town was 14". The only place that I saw that had more was Capron at 14.2"
