Doubtful, but he's also not the same hitter he was his whole life. In his career against lefties he's put up a .719 OPS, but the last 2 years that has dropped to .566 and .620.

 

He didn't need to be platooned against lefties until he got to his 33-34 year old seasons. It happens. That should have been plan A when he was signed - treat him as a platoon player and fill in the bench with a few versatile righties so that we can do so. Hell, our GM even did his job in that regard.
