Everyone, except for the Cardinals a few years ago, feels this way. Especially when there's not many HR's. That's because the double that scores the runs winds up on 2nd and the inning eventually has to end. It's natural, the Sox have had plenty of hits in big situations but if the ball's not leaving the park eventually runners are going to be stranded.

Just looked it up, Sox are tied with Giants for fewest amount of extra base hits with RISP (7 doubles, 1 triple, 4 homers)

"Gordon has flashed some leather over there at third."

except when it could've kept the game tied.

I like Dan Jennings.

Bad hop Hawk had to say it to defend him.

Alexei might as well homer this inning

Hawk, this guy isn't a tough soft toughing lefty. We just suck at hitting

Flowers will homer if Detroit gets a big enough lead.

Wow you guys aren't easy lol

Why couldn't Alexei do that last time? SMH.

It's amazing what you can do when you work a count Alexei

At some point this team needs to figure out how to hit guys like Tommy Millone.

Dammit take some pitches sheesh

Gonna need to shake up the lineup for that. Maybe move Beckham to the 2nd spot.

Just guessing but I would bet that flowers flails yet again. I hope I'm wrong though

Where did the offense go this game?

Heard they had bases loaded, no outs, Ramirez hit into a DP and then Beckham was retired.

The first inning had the usual sloppiness with a wild pitch and then Quintana couldn't field the throw from Flowers when Cabrera should have been out at home.

Lazy flyball to center on the first pitch does that count as a flail?

2 outs with 2 pitches. Go away flowers sheesh

Below .500 OPS from our catchers combined with horrible defense.

How is Flowers always up in an important spot? And how has he never come through in said spot?

#FLAIL ARMY

Why even let flowers bat there

That's not on them. That's who they are. That's on the guys who have them here in the first place.

I'm ok with it there, might as well hope he runs into one and helps take the lead. It's not like there's any power on this horribly designed bench.
