NY has a issue with the Sox that is very apparent.

Good call, he was out.

I'm with you. There was one view there where it looked liked he tagged him on the thigh just before the foot hit the plate.

Hawk is just absolutely not seeing these replays. One thing is being a homer but he's just completely seeing something different in slow motion than the rest of humanity

He was out.

Hawk and Stone keep saying his foot was in before the tag but clearly it wasn't.

Bonafacio would've thrown that into the stands

He was right about Avi earlier though.

Agreed, but I still think Garcia was safe.

Laroche was out. Really off-putting how both Hawk and Stone insisted it was safe and then stayed silent when the replay showed he was out. I like my homerism but admit you're wrong when you were wrong.

Yep, they had a perfect angle of it frozen at the moment of the tag. It was clear he was out.

Was just reading an Astros board and they were complaining about once again being shut down by a "horrible pitcher". Quintana really gets no respect.

3 in a row!

Twice now this year Soto had game winning hit against Tony Sipp.

Just face it Astros, the White Sox own you

And they want to fire their hitting coach and send down everyone.

:sweep:

The astros are a boom or bust team. They hit homeruns or they lose, it's really that simple. Plus they strike out a ton.

Sox are OK once they play teams that aren't in their own division. They sweep Houston after losing 2 of 3 to the crappy Tigers? Hard to fathom.

Great win though. Robertson is amazing. Finally hitting home runs in the Cell. That's big cause it's the only way we can score. Sox win; Hawks win. Nice night.

p.s. you know darn well if we played KC or Cleveland next we'd lose the series for sure. Keep us out of the Central, baby!

The casual fan sees his 4.28 ERA (before the game, now it's 4.00) and assumes that he's trash, I guess

Sox are the same way. If they don't hit homers they have no chance.

It's nice that we finally take advantage of a scuffling team. Great series.

His 2-6 record probably jumped out at them too. But it's not like he's a rookie, he's been great for several years. He was top ten in WAR among starting pitchers last year for crying out loud.

Exactly. It's nice to see Sale getting all this national attention this week, but Quintana (not necessarily this year, but in general) deserves some too.

Springer goes 5-for-5 after last night's outburst? Good thing Sox won. He seemed a bit cocky. Now he can't brag about that 5-for-5 at all cause the Strohs got swept.

Even this year Quintana's FIP is still pretty good, it's in the low 3s. He's also top 30 in WAR for starting pitchers on the year. He's been let down by defense and a bit of bad luck (high BABIP).
