So, presumably Avi was running on 3-2 because it was a hit and run situation. If that's the case, why the f*** is Soto not swinging? Is he ignoring signs? If so, I don't expect him in the lineup much longer.

No problem with sending Avi there on 3-2 pitch. Just wish these guys could get better jumps, as most of their successful attempts have been due to bad throws and not their jump.

There is some serious beard-age going on at the DH slot tonight between Gattis and LaRoche.

He wasn't "stealing" he was running to stay out of the double play but Soto struck out

Not a classic steal, but it still goes down as a caught stealing. Either way it emphasises the same point, he's not fast enough to steal bases.

What I'm the world

Why is this bum playing and on this team?!?!

Have a game, Emilio

Sorry Emilio, you gotta go

Goodness, his days have to be numbered. That's one of the worst throws you will see.

Boni is a joke.

I really think EB is DFA material he brings nothing to this team.

Yes but it wasn't a straight steal. That is on Soto for not even swinging the bat

Not on the plane tomorrow night.

Come on Sox score quit making every rookie look good.

Why the f*** does this team keep trying to run??

Ironically he was running to stay out of a DP

It still demonstrates he is simply not fast enough/a good enough baserunner. I'd rather risk the double play than risk the strike 'em out (with a guy who strikes out a lot) and throw 'em out (with a guy who gets thrown out a lot).

I 100% agree. Errors of such a careless nature can't be tolerated. Not to mention, the game is close, and with guys like Sanchez and Alexei on the bench, you can't afford any further plays like the two we've already seen tonight.

Not really. He was safe last night and a lot of people say he was safe today. Running to steal and running to stay out of a DP or running for a hit and run are 2 different things

If that was his 1st throwing error today, maybe I let it slide but that was his 2nd in 5 innings

3rd leadoff walk. Let's see if we can go 0/3 (not that it's much of a challenge for our offense).
