Featured Replies

I thought there was a thread already on music.

well either way, i don't know why, but just wasting my day at work, writing on the sox and listening to some classic rock.

Rush best all morning and i do love me some great drums and guitar.

Hemisphere #1 9:01 in great rift and great backup with neil pert on the drums.

still amazes me, the drummer writing all the songs .... right there with phil collins.

I just saw them at the UC last Friday night...twas fun.

They've been my favorite band since I was a teen, and remain my favorite band today.

The Big Unit Randy Johnson is their photographer. He was in front of me most of the second half of the show, but he ducked the whole time. I kind of felt sorry for him.

We had club level seats for this show -- I did sit front row at a Rush concert once, though. ;)

How many shows are you catching this tour?

Just 2. It probably is their last tour, unless they do Europe next year. Since my brother lives there and owes me a business class ticket, if they do play there we may follow them around for a week or so.

Randomly bought a Wintersun album at the local used music shop. The results have pleased me.

Just goes to show you that Kenny Williams was right. You can't spend a dollar if you only have 50 cent.

If you like free surprises, Wilco appears to have released a new album- unannounced, and made available for free as a download (I assume the part about it being free is temporary) on their website.

Put my 4 Foo Fighters tickets on stubhub for a pretty steep price. Figured if someone was willing to pay that much, go for it. If not, I'll happily go. They all sold and now I'm kinda sad.

Good investment though.

I've had that adventure before. The last time it happened, I put up my GA ticket for one of the shows during Wilco's six-night run at the Riv this past December- for a very stupid price. I didn't even other checking the Stubhub listing the day of the show because there was no way anyone was going to buy it for the listed price. As I'm entering the Riv, my ticket doesn't scan, so I'm in the process of turning around and heading to the box office when the gate keeper tells me not to worry about it and lets me pass. I felt a little guilty when I figured out what had happened after the show.

So Wrigley will let me in even without my tix? Ha
