DEFENSE?!

Also, Sox are now 8-2 in their last 10.

It's nice having actual defense in the infield, isn't it

That was fun! Like I said in the gamethread: These guys are having fun but we need to start scoring more, not sure how much longer we can continue to win scoring 3 or less

Great pitching, defense, bunting....I love it!!!!

It's not like Hendrick's is a slouch. He's been lights out in his last 2 games. Make it 3.

3 in a row, 8 of 10, Sale tomorrow, let's go!!

Also 12 out of 18.

YEAH BABY!!! Didn't see anything but glued to the MLB summary all day! Seemed like your average terrible Sox game, but from the sounds of the posts, it was a well played game. cheers

Lmao @ Maddon claiming that Avi didn't catch that ball

Rodon should hold a bunting clinic for the position players.

Amusing Cubs fans:

No, the umps take the series lead. If this umpiring isn't fixed soon, people are going to lose interest in the sport. It is 100% unacceptable to have four different walks called outs, and having the winning run called safe when he was out. Just pitiful. At least the Cubs will enter the break leading the WC no matter what, and the Sox are still in last place.

Sale? The guy who can't beat the TWINS? Bring him on.

Very easily could be 14 of 18 as well.

Aren't you loving that the Sox have gotten to be fun to watch again? I know it'd be nice if the hitting (especially a few certain individuals) came around, but the pitching, aside from that Danks guy, has been mostly really, really good. The defense which gets a lot of knocks has been pretty good at times real good. And, I think Ventura, who even I was ready to help run out of town a few weeks ago, has been doing just fine. This team is rolling! :gosox1:

Fowler's wife went to twitter to complain about the ump! LOL

Did anybody else notice that Bonifacio scored the winning run.

Just when I thought it was time to ship him out when we need his slot for the extra pitching after the all-star break. I am so confused!

Saladino looked good at 3B, even though he drew an 0-fer.

The strike zone was pretty darn terrible.

The strike zone was pretty darn terrible.

True, but I thought it was pretty equally terrible.

Well f*** it...lets just sweep so we can all have some hope just to get heart broken in a month or two.

Sale will now go strike out 21 batters at Wrigley to break Wood's record at Wood's old stomping grounds.
