Heck yeah. Reddick would give the Sox some pop from the left side, play solid defense, hits for a good average and does not strike out much. I'm really hoping a trade for Reddick happens.

Traded to the Cardinals today for a minor league pitcher.

No rentals!! Unless they are dirt cheap. I don't want Cespedes or Upton. Then we go 2-5 next week and we're f***ed.

Exactly, unless the cost is really minimal I want nothing to do with rentals.

That would be Brandon Moss.

Winning streak has likely turned #WhiteSox into buyers. Likely adding small piece but never count them out. http://bit.ly/1Dc8rPr

He mentioned Mike Napoli in there. Not a bad idea.

Well let's hope we add a big piece. But if it is a smaller piece or someone for our bench, what are some possible names THST we'd be interested in?

So if Jay Bruce costs the mets wheeler what would he cost us??

Just got a message on my phone from Bleacher Report saying Sox FO is confused on being a seller or buyer.. sure hope that isn't the case. TIFWIW of course

Yeah, that's from the Doug Padilla article. Take it with a grain of salt

I really like us to see if we can get Carlos Gonzalez. I really think he will be the best bat available this upcoming offseason. We might as well make a run at him now.

They will probably want Q ...........................I would pass.

For Carlos Gonzalez? That would be quite the overpay. I think we can get him for a package centered around Montas and/or Danish.

Thought it'd be a late night of rumors but since it's all quiet on the western front I'm going to head to bed, this loss put a damper on the mojo but I still hope we add something I do believe we've turned a corner. Guess we'll know the direction moving forward in about 16 hours.

After a day of some bigger rumors for us, it's been an oddly quiet rumor night.

Pedro Alvarez is going to be available if the Pirates get an Adam Lind type for 1B...that position's been something of a black hole for Pittsburgh the last couple of seasons.

But does he hit lefties?

Post season odds right now at 8.7%, but still behind the Tigers (obviously the BP predictor doesn't take into account Price/Soria no longer being on the roster)

It's amazing those odds are so low with a rotation of Sale/Shark/Q and Rodon and a closer like Robertson and improved defense now. I'm assuming the oddsmakers are not assuming we're now going to lose six in a row to drop to that comfortable (for the players) eight under .500 again.

Damn, I'm really hoping Sox can compete and not go streaky in the opposite direction again after today's rare loss. Please White Sox, come to compete and play to your ability in August!

Is he a lousy fielder at third? We need that defense we've been getting from Saladino. Can Alvarez play D? If not, pass.

He was so bad at 3B they moved him to 1B where he is probabky worse than Dunn.

Can't acquire him then unless he's DH rest of the year.

Maybe some kind of three way deal between Pitt, Milw and the Sox can be made?
