Shark thinks this team can get a playoff spot and throws this bulls*** game. Gotta love it. Talk the talk but certainly cant actually do the work.

He desperately needs to go back to the NL this offseason

The trade deadline couldn't have come at a worse time

It kills me because he was the only player we had that had both trade value and a chance at a decent return.

You can't trade Sale, he's irreplaceable.

You can't trade Abreu, you'll never get face value.

Sale is still amazing. Shark has had a rough season. Sure doesn't look like $100 million.

Shark is Shark. GM's love the idea of this guy, just like Cubbie fans did: former football player, Notre Dame, competitor, good stuff, whatever. Hell, even a smart guy like Billy Beane got taken in. He's fine. But neither his peripherals nor his record measure up to the high expectations people have of the dude.

Hey maybe we'll be in the playoffs right before Chris Sale decides to leave. That would help.

Hahn and company better be ready to spend this offseason, as there's not enough in the pipeline the next two years to make this team competitive enough to be a legit contender.

We spent this off-season, where has that gotten us? 3 games under .500 with 60 games left

They need to spend and *gasp* trade prospects. Yes those mystical things.

I'm pretty sure Sale won't decide to leave the White Sox. He has "trade deadline move" written all over him if the Sox continue to be bad.

If they bring Alexei back, their roster will cost them ~$120 million before they make any moves. Thats an increase from this year already baked in.

Honestly, they need to successfully draft position players. It's been a huge boon on their success.

Well, that's a major improvement from where they were last year.

A rotation of Sale, Q, Rodon, Danks and Johnson is not playoff caliber next year.
