I do agree If we could combine them....................separately I do not see either guy being a long term answer.

I'm laughing at us both right now because how you feel about Sanchez is how I feel about Johnson.

With other positional holes that need to be filled, I think the Sox can be more patient with 2B. IMHO, 3B and RF are huge voids that must be addressed this off season.

Third base is far and away the biggest

That's BS to throw at our pitcher

I think that is the toughest one to fill for any team. It's not a glamorous position.

I think Saladino easily puts up a higher war than flowers over a season worth of games. Not that either should really be starting, but I believe catcher is the hole. Too bad it'll be impossible to fill.

In fairness though, Flowers and Soto together have put up more than respectable numbers both offensively and defensively.

Agreed. Problem is that decent hitting catchers are so fricken hard to come by.

Yep, statistically it might be our 3rd best position

soft bias of low expectations! lol

Lindor is gonna be a star

Comparisons to other catching corps. I would say only Abreu and Eaton compare more favorably at their position

I don't get Flowers pitch selection at all. Earlier in the game, Lindor struck out horribly on a low and inside slider. So what does Flowers call? A fastball right down the middle.

Wonderful.

Soto has carried the water in that platoon.

116 pitches in a blowout

116 pitches for Sale in garbage time.

Don Ventura are a real piece of work.

It was thinking the same thing. It's probably a major reason why he's faded down the stretch. He's been so overused throughout the season and he's probably tired.

Aces pitch deep into games, and they don't get shut down.

Like I said earlier...that's exactly what we should be doing with him right now. He's got 2 starts left. Work him the last 2 starts and hopefully that builds his arm up next year so that maybe next year or even 2017 we don't have to worry about a "dead arm" hitting him in July.

Agree no Ace needed for this team right now.

Webb just isn't very good unfortunately. Could be a change of scenery guy that gets him to throw his hardest and hope for the best
