We've got Sale for 2017, 2018, and 2019. No reason why his value will drop in a trade before the end of 2017 unless he gets hurt. I mean, it'll drop but it'll drop to "level someone might pay".

Because we had no patience we blew 2015 for nothing, blew a ton of free agent money, blew our minor league depth, and failed to give lots of development time to our system. Currently tied with the Red Sox and DBacks, with 9 teams ahead of that group. Haven't looked at what the tiebreakers are but this page says Red Sox have the draft tiebreaker. As of right now we're 11th pending results of later games if that's true? (Head to head tiebreaker against the Red Sox maybe?)

I check his Ks. He's 2nd in baseball in that stat. Shutting him down denies him a chance at being the leader in Ks. It may not be popular with the treating pitchers like glass crowd but it may be a goal he wants to achieve.

Last game we had posters thinking the Twins knew something that was tipping his pitchers. They must have shared w the Indians. I think he is just running out of gas down the stretch. He has had a hell of a season so I wish they would let him take it easy for the next few weeks. He is the franchise and they need to keep him healthy.

I know that, but he's still one of my all time favorite players so I want him to end the season strong in preparation for next year.
