May 20, 20169 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 19, 2016 -> 06:40 PM) Ya, the Cubs are the best team in baseball imo but Arietta is not the best pitcher. Kershaw has been, is and probably will be for some time the best pitcher in the game. Fair, but going back to last July it's hard to argue Arrieta isn't a valid "best pitcher in baseball". My particular problem with the "even better than Sale" crack. Chris Sale is a great pitcher that was (until this season) wasted on a bad team. It's not hard to understand why he was left out.
May 20, 20169 yr Yes, because they happens just as frequently with Felix Hernandez...whose Mariners have gone even longer without making the playoffs than the White Sox.

May 23, 20169 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:47 AM) Randall Simon's clearly the worst. Peavy is #2. I think Randall Simon could probably out-pitch Alfredo Simon right now. (I think that's who you are referring to )

May 25, 20169 yr I had hoped Zobrist was old and last year was the beginning of the end for him. Instead, he's one of the best in baseball this year (5th in fWAR).
May 25, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:27 PM) I had hoped Zobrist was old and last year was the beginning of the end for him. Instead, he's one of the best in baseball this year (5th in fWAR). He's always been awesome. Last 2 years may be pretty bad on that deal though.
May 25, 20169 yr I think Zobrist will probably be the type of guy that just falls off the earth and goes from great to awful in a short amount of time. He maximizes every bit of physical talent that he has on a daily basis. When his body says no you are done, even a little bit, he will wont be able to max out and he will be bad.
