Johnson looks terrible.

Cause he is, and I'm pretty sure the organization agrees

Ugly start for us.

Every pitch is in the same spot

If they are in contention, they are gonna need another starter

LOL, First chance I got to watch the Sox this year and so far they look like the SOS as last year.

Lol, true. I've never seen much to like from him honestly.

I agree.

Oof. Like every question on sox showing up at once

Lots of these guys had an event last night. Looks like it as well

Johnson's fastball looks so straight and his curve is just rolling up there. No sharp break at all.

Who would you prefer in the two hole? Me, I like the idea of batting Abreu there, along the lines of that idea of batting your best hitter 2nd.

Exactly, you always bat your best hitter second not third like traditional baseball wisdom has been telling us. You bat your best hitter second because, over the course of a 162 game season, the player you bats seconds gets the most plate appearances over the course of the season and that increases your chances of scoring runs.

I think the lineup should be

Eaton

Abreu

Cabrera

Frazier

Lawrie

LaRoche

Garcia

Avila/Navarro

Saladino/Rollins

I like the chemistry so far between Stone and Benetti. Breath of fresh air.

I wonder if Hawk, Stone, and Benetti will ever be in the booth at the same time towards the end of the season if the Sox are in contention.

It's really hard to see how Erik Johnson was a BaseballAmerica top 100 prospect two years ago.

Johnson blows.

The Sox need more pitching depth.

Cabrera or Rollins at 2.

Hopefully Abreu and Frazier are 3-4 about 150-some times.

I think Lawrie will definitely hit 2nd vs LHP.

It's nice to see a catcher use his body to block a pitch in the dirt.

Johnson is getting demolished

WTF was that?

Johnson with the rare balk on throw to third base. He just doesn't seem very smart out there

Time to trade Johnson and pick up some hot prospects in return.

Holy bad. LOL

Need him for depth. Let him go win IL Pitcher of Year again.

Just resign Adam Dunn for pitching depth.
