I can't see how anyone blames Rollins at all there. He has to straddle the base if he wants to apply a tag. He just can't decide mid-throw that the throw is bad and move around. Thats impossible. All he can do is try to get the ball on the hop and it was a high hop . Not much of a chance at all to catch it .

If you are worried about catching it, you turn into a 1B and try to smother the ball so it doesn't get by you.
