It is past a slump

What do you recommend then? Trading him? DFAing him? How does this make our offense better?

Yea he pulled it back. It was gone, can tell by how his wrist bend over the fence.

Why was Robertson's run earned

The hitter after that play got a hit, (after the sac fly) so the run would have scored anyway, in theory.

Mazara with a hit...figures.

The Sox would've won this game already had they signed Ian Desmond.

Throw the slider ahead of count!

This won't end well

Move him out of the 3 hole

Abreu really needs to sit. Don't think I've ever said this about him, but he's hurting the team right now.

That'll never happen, and I don't think it should. It's entirely mental. You just don't forget how to hit. And say all we want about the fastball in/slider away combo killing him, he had atleast two absolute meatball pitches to destroy and fouled them off. That's not the league figuring him out -- it's Abreu getting out Abreu

Nasty change from Nate.

I am not looking forward to Avi batting next inning

Yep he seems defeated mentally. Wasn't attacking the pitches and was just waving at the hook.

Nasty

Fielder must be only hitting with RISP. Cause it's hard to hit .191 with 14 RBIs at this point in the season.

Nice defense

Nice recovery by Lawrie. I have no doubt that Lawrie would have stopped that throw from Navarro on the stolen base.

Looks like that ball hit the lip of the infield, because it took a funny hop on Lawrie. Nice play to stay with it.

Great job lawrie, Now go walk it off

If this isn't a slump and simply the new Jose Abreu, the team isn't going anywhere regardless of what spot Jose bats in.

Who wants this game more? That's what it's coming down to

This is actually the good part of our lineup...Melky and Lawrie are both hitting the ball hard. Then there's Avi...lol

Avi, in some form or fashion, is going to walk this b**** off.

There's bad Melky in that AB.

Everyone trying to hit a walk-off.
