CINCO DE MAYO GAME THREAD: BOS @ SOX

Featured Replies

Only 90+ pitches to get 10 outs.

That's pretty amazing...not sure if it's from a negative or positive standpoint, though.

A SCORELESS INNING! Ok offense, time to go now.

Next mental midget from AAA, your table is ready

Nice ovation from the crowd on the DP. Time to start hitting. Let's try to keep winning home series against the elite teams.

Owens has walked 6 guys? That's why they don't have hits lol.

What happened to the "new and improved" positive thread mandate?

You would think we were trailing the rest of the division by 3 1/2 games already.

Is it realistic to EXPECT to win a game Erik Johnson starts against the Red Sox offense?

We're getting outhit 8-1 and still only down by 3. And at least our offense is showing encouraging progress in the OBP/walk category compared to the past three seasons.

It wasn't a positive mandate Caufield, you know that. It was to stop freaking out in game threads. Burying individual players and saying the game is Ova when this team has been resilient late in games.

Uh, they've missed at least three BP fastballs right down broadway that should have been deposited into the 3rd row. Team is patient sure, but at a point you gotta hit the f***ing ball.

I guess since he hAd only allowed four runs so far it's all good if the offense could show up. But. Jacob Turner is waiting in the wings

How many starts does Johnson get before they pull the plug? 3? That's about what Daniel Hudson got.

Not many. One more if he's lucky.

I don't think that's gone at Fenway

Avi! Why couldn't that happen last inning?

Nice, like to see more of that
