I don't know if it already is on here but Melky told Laz Diaz he was a bad umpire those pitches were balls to earn his first career ejection.

Give Laz credit though, he could have rung up Melky on that check swing. He didn't and Sox got 5.

let him steal

Wouldn't object to Rodon getting next start skipped if possible

good pitch there at 0-2. 96mph up.

Let him go out for the 7th

all things considered not an awful start under the circumstances.

Problem is that Melky didn't really come all that close to swinging. Laz might suck and he might hold grudges, but I'm sure he still gets reviewed and his calls can't all be obviously biased and awful.

I would let him go out there. Then use Duke and Albers to close it out.

Gutsy effort tonight from Carlos. Love it. Struggled, then had a rain delay. Comes out and struggles more and then finds a second wind and gets through 6. Hopefully the last two innings get him going again.

Rodon is def built like a middle linebacker.

Beltre is a joy.

Trying to steal my words?

he's cruising now, hopefully he comes out of this with some confidence.

Doh.

Okay, good job Rodon. Put someone else in after Fielder

f*** sorry jinxed it.

Rodon took one for the team tonight. Impressive effort overall

Pretty gutsy performance by Rodon pitching as long as he did after the rain delay.

nobody can look at Ivan Rodriguez and honestly think he didn't she steroids. His head is massive

The two homers he gave up weren't even on strikes. Oh well. Good to see him nut up after he got a 5 run lead.

Gutsy performance. Not gonna call it good, but at least he fought. I have a lot more confidence in his mental ability to play the game after this.

really, albers isn't available?

I'm thinking he'll be the first to get a call if Caroll can't throw strikes or is hit around.

Robin is a badass this year. He does what he wants to do. He's very aggressive. Rodon got to 107 pitches and gave up the bomb, then whiffed the lefty and ... bye bye.

Now that Robin has learned how to manage, we could have a good manager for the next 20 years. He's only 48.
